Bridge School Gift Drive: A Holiday Tradition

The Bridge School Holiday Gift Drive brightens the holidays for young children who may otherwise not receive presents. It also helps our kids understand how important it is to offer what we can to others beyond the Bridge community. We hope you will consider joining us in reaching out.

Bridge School is one of the few remaining schools with a "one-to-one" relationship with a family service organization. We have built a very special relationship with the Thom Anne Sullivan Child Center in Lowell, MA, and our school has a big impact on their programs. To give you insight into the impact of your giving, the recipients are typically very low income families with total household incomes under $12,000.

You can make a difference. Here's how it works: you register online. Then your family is matched with a needy family affiliated with the Thom Anne Sullivan Center. You receive a "gift assignment": a number of parents and children, their ages, and perhaps a few of their preferences. Then you and your kids do the shopping to make a holiday happen for that family. It's a real commitment, with real results! Last year, we delivered over 270 thoughtful gifts to more than 175 homeless and at-risk children and families.

We'd love to have you join us! To participate, please register online by Nov 6. To register, please click here. You can also find the link on the Bridge Community Service Page here.

Your gift assignments will be emailed to you by Monday, November 23. Gifts are due by Friday, December 9.

If you have any questions and/or would like more information, please contact Julia Carpenter-Conlin, Kris Maeda or Amy McGaraghan.

Thank you!

Thank you to all who participated

Thank you to the Bridge School community for your incredible generosity during the 2014 holiday gift drive.

Collectively you donated more than 270 thoughtful gifts which benefited children and families receiving services from the Thom Anne Sullivan Child Center in Lowell. The recipients of the gifts are families struggling to make ends meet with annual household incomes of less than $12,000 who do not have cars and live in transitional housing, homeless shelters and other unstable housing situations.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity during the 2014 holiday season. We received this note from our contact at Thom Anne Sullivan and want to share it with you.

Thank you note from our contact at the center:
